Was previously a hidden gem for the foodies in the west but social media had exposed it but the hype fortunately has tamed.
Known for their fish soup, seafood soup and even pig trotters. Many moons ago, they also sold pig liver in their soups but this has since been discontinued. They purchase the batang fish as a whole and have a person whose only job is to debone and slice the fish. Talk about expertise!
They provide many slices of fish, prawns and fresh sotong! I've requested for bitterground instead of lettuce. I've asked for half rice and a little of that braised sauce on top of it. Together with around 7 slices of sotong (estimate), 7 pieces of fish (estimate) and 3 large prawns, this totalled SGD 8.30, which I find to be a steal!
Of course, this is at a hawker center so not the best ambience and you'd definitely have to look for seats. This is a pretty popular hawker! They cook pretty fast so I'd say pretty good service for me. QR codes accepted.
